The Jedi Battlemaster, while a formidable opponent with a lightsaber, chooses to excel in combat above the skirmish level. A Battlemaster must be conversant with the overall strategy of an engagement, the tactics of their enemy and the capabilities of their allies. They often act as advisors in large scale engagement and wartime logistics. Like most warriors, the battlemaster must be able to reconcile the need to sacrifice individual lives for a greater good, with the need to respect the individual lives of those under his command. A Battlemaster who becomes callous to the sacrifices of war stands a very real danger of falling to the Dark Side.
