9.2.4786 Republic Reckoning

Council member Valis? charges us with a mission. We are to travel to Califax to meet with 3 masters, to whom we may become padawan learners. J'ror is also at a monastery in this system, while there we are to deliver a message to him. "She is on the Move," the message from the strange woman Elbram met in a previous game. In addition to that, the Councilman recommends that J'ror must make his organization more public very quickly, and produce serious results or he may be facing serious trouble. We left in a hurry as instructed, but as we were taking off a summons from the Jedi Council was received. They were suspicious of our actions, but someone was clouding our thoughts. Rather than lying outright we told selective truths, things they wanted to hear that were true to some extent, but left out the part about relaying a message to J'ror. Again we headed back to the ship, this time with the blessing of the whole council... though only one really knew what we were planning.

Elbram - "Why don't we just vote on it?"
Quindo - "Because Democracy is a way to the Dark Side."
Bro'jan - "How do you figure that?"
Quindo - "Evil stuffs the ballot box."

During the two week journey a great deal of time is spent on cardio workouts for the group, who have decided they are a bit lacking in that area.

To'iir - "When the Force is your ally, you don't have to sweat!"

Quindo and Bro'jen spend most of the two weeks sparring. Igashu contacted J'ror through the force and delivered the message. After some debate it was decided they would land and speak to the masters on J'ror's behalf.

Igashu and Davin headed out to do just that, while Quindo and Bro'jen kept sparring, not knowing we had arrived yet. Igashu started the conversation but quickly found himself to be rather transparent to the master before him. After a short, but fruitless conversation, Igashu gave up realizing that he had nothing to support his arguments. He retreated to the ship to discuss with the others, claiming that "unless Tholin gives up the goods and hands us some facts to work with he can rot on this rock."

Raging debates ensue... no decision is reached, but Elbram and Igashu actually agree. They aren't going to bust Tholin out. Davin interrupts with video footage, mysteriously messaged to them from somewhere in system. It's a rather interesting drama that gives credence to the "Dormamu is a bad-guy(tm) and sith master with no one to keep her in check" theory. Igashu delivers the video to the Masters watching Tholin and walks back to the ship Elbram waits. The group all fall back to pass the time and wait for an answer. Elbram meditates in the rain outside the temple door. Igashu pours over his data in searching for a clue of Zeltar J'hund's location and current identity. Davin tries to find out where the message came from by searching the logs in the message system, but accidentally deletes them. Quindo accuses Davin of doing it on purpose, and being tainted. Arguments and debates rage, Altair decides to keep watch on Davin, but most believe he's simply an idiot.

Quindo - "He's trying to sabotage us on purpose!"
Igashu - "He's not. He's just an idiot."
Quindo - "But he's conveniently an idiot. Why is it that every time he Fucks Up it's detrimental to us!"
Igashu - "Anytime any one of us Fucks Up it's detrimental to us. That's what Fuck Up means!"

Elbram returns with the data crystal, and the Masters' answer. "Interesting Drama." More arguments and debate rage with a great deal of emotion. Most people seem to be arguing about different subjects, and so nothing is accomplished. Elbram walks out and engages the temple Master? in conversation again. He tells the "whole truth", though Igashu at least argues that truth exists only as an ideal that can never be reached. In the end Elbram's words sway the Master into deeper and more introspective thought, which was the goal all along, and he decides that releasing J'ror into our custody is the best course of action.
