Quindo

Quindo Septon is a Jedi Knight of the Warrior discipline and the group's resident cynic. Quindo is constantly striving to balance the way of the warrior with his skills as a healer. He is wary of any path that seems too easy and is distrustful of strangers.

He is missing the last digit of the little finger on his left hand from a lightsaber accident at Praconis Minor Praxeum.

Growing up on Praconis Minor

Quindo was found in an orphanage by Lydia Tholin and raised by the Jedi Order. As a strong and overweight child, Quindo held himself back in training to avoid drawing attention the himself and to avoid hurting the other students and fell behind in class. One day, the class troublemaker Igashu came to his aid with a quick retort and scathing humor, and the two became fast friends. Though occassionally strained by the dichotomy between Quindo's frank obedience and Igashu's rebelliousness, they stayed friends throughout their training... barring that week after Quindo lost the last joint of his left pinkie in a lightsaber accident (ask Igashu).

Family

Quindo's family history is rather bleak. After trying for months to conceive with her husband Jon Septon, Quindo's mother , Guenevive was raped by an unknown assailant. She became pregnant and they decided to keep the child and not look too hard into who exactly the father was. Jon became increasingly concerned with discovering the truth and badgered his wife until she consented to the test. Quindo was not Jon's child. The strain on their marriage was too great and they were divorced shortly after Quindo was born. Guenevive gave Quindo up for adoption and ran off with a trader named Kaleb Corvan. Quindo eventually tracked down Jon Septon on Praconis Minor in 1.4787 (about the same time the Igashu began to uncover his own ancestry). The knowledge of his origins have haunted Quindo for some time.

Guenevive's second husband, Kaleb Corvan, became dangerously indebted to Momoudu the Hutt and was pressed into indentured servitude. Left with a large number of Kaleb's debts, Guenevive was also pressed into service for the Hutt. She was presumably on Nal Hutta when the Sith bombed it.
