Evika

Observing a Council session. Recently escaped from prolonged captivity in Sith space, Evika al-Amri is a Jedi Factotum and licensed physician who encountered the party by chance while working as a nurse (somewhat to her chagrin, since she couldn't prove her medical credentials) in the refugee camps on Alexandria. Raised at the central Temple on Coruscant, Evika found her calling in the meditative and healing arts, and had her longest apprenticeship under Master Varen Rill, an absent-minded but skilled healer.

During her final apprenticeship before facing the Trials, Evika's master Karth Triest was killed and she was captured in the initial Sith push into Republic space. Evika remained a prisoner for the next year, escaping only after her Sith captors grew distracted during the Republic counteroffensive. She is reluctant to discuss her experiences as a prisoner. Currently, she is struggling with a great deal of fear and anger as a result, at odds with her generally compassionate personality, and causing her to question her formerly steadfast belief that there is no one so far fallen that they cannot be redeemed.

Hailing as she did from Coruscant, Evika had a passing acquaintanceship with both Christina and Radhe before being assigned to the Heroes by an inexplicable act of the Council. By turns bemused and dismayed by Quindo and Igashu's loose take on the Jedi Code, Evika is still learning about her new companions. Thus far, she shares the closest rapport with Christina, since, despite their initial misgivings about each other, the two women have a common a set of acquaintances and experiences. Though the eldest of the group, Evika is arguably the least experienced, having spent most of her life studying, either the Jedi arts or medicine, and she has difficulty concealing her horror at what T'zin has told her about his life.
