Sith Talisman

Control Difficulty:Difficult for 1D, Very Difficult for 2D, Heroic for 3D, Heroic+10 for 4D, etc.

Alter Difficulty:Difficult for 1D, Very Difficult for 2D, Heroic for 3D, Heroic+10 for 4D, etc.

Warning:This power gives the user a Dark Side Point.

Required Powers: Absorb-dissipate energy, create amulet, rage, Sith sorcery

Effect:This power creates a Force-imbued object similar to that of create amulet, but with fewer restrictions and more options. If the talisman is a Focus talisman, the power may be applied to any Force skill use in a round. It may only be used once per round and the bonus may be divided between Force Abilities in any fashion desired by the user. This is not an inherently evil act and the Talisman may be used without any penalty. An Ensnarement talisman functions as a Focus amulet, but sacrifices one die of power to make any Light Side user make a Willpower check after every use beginning at Very Easy and increasing one difficulty level per check. Failing the check means that the character gains one Dark Side Point and the difficulty increases an additional level next time. Beyond Heroic, checks go Heroic+10, Heroic+20 etc. A Healing talisman may remove a number of injury levels equal to its die code. Once the talisman reaches 0D, the user may continue by sacrificing their own Force Ability codes by 2D in any one power for a period of 10 hours per level healed. Defensive talismen add their bonus as armor to any attacks made against the weilder. Translation talismen will confer the user the ability to read a number of languages as selected by the creator equal to the die power of the talisman. Offensive talismen send a wave of darkness at the target doing damage equal to the power of the talisman. These are inherently evil items and any use will grant the user a Dark Side Point regardless. Finally, Force Mask talismen send out "anti- force" ripples masking the presence of a Force-user. These may mask Force use of a difficult equal to one third (round down) of their power in difficulty levels. e.g. a 3D Force Mask talisman will allow the wearer to use Force powers with difficulties of only Very Easy while a 6D mask would allow Easy difficulties to be performed. A 2D Force Mask talisman allows the user to remain invisible while not using any Force abilities, but a 1D talisman is insufficient to hide any Force-user.

Sith talismen of Shield, Healing, and Offensive types suffer power drain similar to Amulets. Shield talismen lose one pip of strength each time the user takes damage of Stun or greater. Offensive talismen lose one pip of strength each use. Healing talismen lose a die of strength each healing use. Talismen reaching 0D power are not destroyed, just inactive. To recharge a talismen, it must be in the presence of a character that gains a Dark Side Point without using it. This recovers one Die of power, up to the maximum power of the talisman. If the talisman is small, the GM may rule it has to be on the person of a character gaining a Dark Side Point to be recharged. Characters healed by a Sith Talisman will often keep a scar as a reminder of their failure for the rest of their days. Finally, it is rumored that there are other talismen that can perform Force powers all on their own or perform all kinds of other strange feats. Some of these have been rumored to be implanted into the flesh of their users, preventing them from easily being separated.
