The group passes through security at the palace and are led into a dining room where Davrosh is feeding a small child while talking to his security chief General Grainger. He finishes up feeding the kid, who then goes off with a nurse while the table is prepared for the adults. Introductions, drinks, and some cold conversation ensue. Davrosh insists he's a benign dictator, but Christina is having none of it. She remains on the offensive so much that Evika doesn't feel as if she has to do any arguing herself.

Neither Quindo nor Christina eat the food, but the rest do, and the topic of conversation keeps winding off the agreed-upon security topics and onto philosophical differences between Sith, Dark Jedi, Rogue Jedi, and normal Jedi. Nothing is resolved. The dinner ends, the meeting ends with little information passed other than the Principality's belief that Darth Laut is behind the Dark Swarm.

After leaving, the heroes go on a drinking binge to work off the tension.
