The control board is a simple piece of hardware, as it is
mainly a variety of input and output devices connected to a
microcontroller. Many types of output devices are used, ranging from
simple LEDs to graphics-capable liquid crystal displays. Three main
types of input devices are used: buttons, datawheels and faders.
Figure 10 shows the overall system diagram. This
view depicts the system in terms of each of the input and output
elements.
