This modification is as-yet untested, but it should work fine. In the above
left schematic, a simple serial port expansion is presented. It provides
support for RS232 transmit, receive, CTS and RTS. The other I/O pins are
not connected in this implementation. The right schematic is an enhanced
serial port implementation which provides support for all of the RS232
control lines. Some applications may require these additional control
signals. Both modifications use CN12, which is accessible via the RAM
expansion door.
