A thousand thousand worlds, coexisting in peace, cooperating in governance, and covering over 80% of the Known Galaxy? with over 95% of the known population. The capital on Coruscant hosted the Senate? where representatives from each of the member worlds debated policy and matters.

Today it is a shell of its former self. The Senate disbanded? and the Jedi Council and the Jedi Order ruled as executive, legislative, and cabinet. Its most industrialized portions were almost all conqured or seceeded because of the ravages of Bellisarius and all that is left are the mostly agricultural and backwater portions of a once united galaxy. Even this has been torn apart by the ravages of the Dark Swarm. Today, with the Order withdrawn mostly to space, the individual worlds are beginning to find ways of governing themselves, warring amongst themselves, settling new worlds, and making new polities. In the meantime, the Order still claims to be the rightful government and will appear, demanding taxes and resources as needed from a world. As the Order has access to technologies far in advance of the galactic standard, there are few that will dare to refuse, lest the Order leave their planet undefended against the Swarm.
