1.11.4787 Republic Reckoning
Frustrated by his inability to reconnect with the past Igashu decides to take a break from his investigation and tag along with Elbram who is going to visit his Master. They first cover the finer points of accelerating another's healing. After the first few days, Elbram moves on to study a number of things that Igashu has no interest in. Igashu instead wanders the nearby wilds of the moon and meditates. A few days later the meditation has grown old, and Igashu departs to finish his investigation while Elbram remains behind to continue his studies.
Meanwhile, Brojen and Dabai continue their nature hike. Taking J'ror's advice they visit a 300-meter high 3-terrace waterfall. The view is breathtaking... and arriving at the proper GPS coordinates reveals a message from our favorite Master Trouble-maker. J'ror's message simply suggests a "swan dive". Dabai and Brojen take a moment to think about it before deciding the do the stupid thing and jump. Lucky for them they managed to avoid the rocks and survive the fall.
Back to Igashu... who completely obsesses over his investigation. Proceeding with a combination of postcognition and more mundane investigative methods Igashu digs up quite a bit of information both on his past and that of Dormamu. Without wasting pages of useless description here's the main points.
- Igashu's last name is Athoni - There is no record of his father leaving this planet. No body either, but he has been missing so long he is presumed dead. - Igashu and his father had traveled from Alderaan, and were running from something. - Dormamu Arrived shortly thereafter via private transport with a man who looked a great deal like Zeltar J'hund. Whoever it was traveled under the name of Tharkun Landroval. - Both Dormamu and Landroval visited the Museum of Natural history the very next day, with Landroval commenting on the possibility of an artifact being of Sith origin and inquiring as to where it came from. - Dormamu left the planet and headed to Manassan, a trade hub that was the initial location of Santaros Interstellar. - The Museum curator identified the pendant Igashu described (worn by Dormamu in a previous meeting) as a symbol for a sect of Jedi from Alderaan. That sect was noted for their extreme noninterventionist and pacifist leanings. - The Sect was made up entirely of women and was so non-interventionalist that they would find ways to make their impact on the world around them as small as possible. - 150 years ago the sect cut ties with the council. - The council sent one unnamed Jedi master and his padawan to investigate. The padawan was named Zeltar J'hund... - Zeltar and master report that no trace of the sect is found, and future investigations into rumors of the sect have been inconclusive at best.
Dabai and Brojen return for a little investigating of their own. Working with Altair they begin digging through Santaros financial records. Their effort is rewarded with information on a few hidden accounts and a ship located on a planet called Manassan (see above). Additionally, it is found that Santaros has been very interested in droids and held a controlling share of a droid matrix design house through a series of front companies.
Hmmmm.... not much Quindo news this week, wonder what happened... The group returns to their rooms to find a note from Quindo saying he'll be back and not to worry. Seems he skipped town without telling anyone and left a mysterious box in Igashu's room for safekeeping.
