Republic Reckoning 6.9.87

Igashu arrives and we all have a reunion. It's not a happy one. We are taken to nicer quarters than the torture chambers and fed. We get new Sith fashions. Igashu gets the fancy duds while Quindo enjoys fall Sith fashions. (get it.. fall?). We even get to keep our lightsabers, though we are guarded at all times. Nakael still has Arvandus so we can't just cut and run. At least we get to rest.

Republic Reckoning 6.10.87

We're taken back to the Audience Chamber in the morning. Nakael isn't here yet, but we get breakfast and get to look around. The entire place is a fairly well stocked library. We talk to some of the Sith "monks" about their chosen path.

Nakael arrives for breakfast and we argue with him for awhile. We know that he likes to farsee everything, so we challenge him to discern what would happen if he were to face us. We extole the virtues of the Light Side and point out that Belisarius is likely to destroy him when it suits him. He eventually gets angry enough to Force Push Chris. We ask if that was Nakael, or the Dark Side controlling Nakael. Does he still have a choice or have his actions become dictated by what he has become? We refuse to call him friend. He has killed our friend. We tell him to go explore his future to see how the Dark Side will lead him to ruin. He storms off. "I will have my prophecy within the hour!" He leaves, Arvandus stays with Chris.

Ok, now that he's gone, we decide to make absolutely sure that his future is doomed. Can we burn his Sith Library? Well, there's a pretty sophisticated fire suppression system that will have to be disabled. Maybe if we overload a blaster? Igashu decides to disable the F.S. Quindo sets a blaster pack to overload. Christene will cause a distraction. Her first attempt fails so badly that nobody even notices. We're ready though, and no distraction.

Quindo hollers, "The Jedi Are Attacking!" *Back me up guys*
The Sith Acolytes are momentarily confused. Not so much in a worried way as complete bewilderment. They don't see any attack. Christene manages to cause a single lightbulb to explode. Good enough. Igashu douses the rare volumes shelf with Brandy. He also uses disguise and some tricky voice thing to make Nakael's voice order the Sith to battle stations. They finally start to scramble.

Quindo overloads the blaster pack and tosses it into the booze soaked bookshelf. Nakael runs in.

We all activate our lightsabers.

Nakael turns to run, Quindo calls him a coward and chases after him. Nakael runs past guards and closes the door behind. Quindo tries to simply bowl past them before the door closes but fails. The guards attack. Igashu covers our "retreat".

Quindo disarms both guards, one goes for an uzi, Christebe catches up and cuts it out of his hand. Igashu comes skidding around the corner, just ahead of a hail of bullets. Quindo knocks over a table and Strengthens it to use as cover while Christene sprays cover fire down the hall and Igashu hacks open the electronic lock on the door.

On the other side of the door is a laboratory. There are several levels of creepy bubbly crap and strange Sith electronics. This is where they messed up Arvandus. Quindo sprays the room with bullets, destroying as much equipment as he can. Igashu spots Nakael darting through another door up a few levels. Just before he leaves, he beckons to Arvandus. Arvandus takes off after Nakael, but Chris yells for him to stay. He hesitates a moment. Quindo Projects Force, which should make them seem nicer than Nakael. Arvandus runs away from Nakael and comes back to us.

The guards are trying to get through the door we sealed behind us, but we've got a couple minutes. We make our way to the door that Nakael left through. His voice comes through a nearby comm.
