1.33.4787 Republic Reckoning

With the ship now open the Jedi scour it everyway they know how for any clues. Igashu manages to find a box containing a data crystal hidden behind a bulkhead. Unfortunately it's simply a cryptic message about a plan being "so crazy it might work... and what will you do if that happens?" Nothing else of import is found on the ship, but just as the group is about to leave and emergency rescue vehicle lands at the airfield.

After a few questions its found out that pirates blasted a mining vessel. That doesn't sound like much... wait a minute who paid for Dormamu's hotel? Checking the info we got earlier it seems a company called Outworld Ore picked up the tab. A phone call and bluffing by Igashu confirms that Dormamu rode up in the mining ship that was shot down by Black Lotus Pirates. A rather infamous group of pirates... doesn't Quindo know a pirate? Yeah... good ol' captain Naronne, and she owes him a favor. Maybe she can help us out. Regardless the Black Lotus are the strong arm of Momudu the Hutt, and they're likely heading back to Nal Hutta. Since we suspect Dormamu is with them we'll have to follow. But first... Igashu demands to stop at Alderaan. It's on the way after all.

On Alderaan, Igashu starts digging. Alderaan's various civil servants prove to be very helpful and with a bit of work Igashu finds who he thinks might be his grandparents. After assuring Altair he'll be back tomorrow and they can leave Igashu speeds off to spend the night in a hotel and meet his Grandparents in the morning. The meeting is filled with awkward moments of silence and circling conversation. It seems Igashu's inquisitive nature is a family trait. After explaining their distrust comes from the large number of false claims they have had to go through the elderly couple suggest a paternity test. Igashu finds this whole mess a bit strange, but agrees. The results come back positive, and everyone seems much more comfortable with the situation. After spending as much time catching up and asking questions about his parents Igashu reluctantly heads back to catch up with the rest of our heroes and promises to return with his friends some day.

Some of the things Igashu learned seem like they might be related to their ongoing investigation so he happily relates them to his friends... often followed with "I have grandparents!" or "I have a last name!" What Igashu did learn? His mother's name was likely Mican Shoyunta... but she had a sister named Lethsi Shoyunta. The grandparents seemed to get them mixed up. They didn't like the one that was Igashu's mother, but claim the sister was nice. In yet another strange coincidence the sister was supposed to be a member of the Jedi Order.

Off to Nar Shaddaa, a moon of Nal Hutta, where we hope to learn of Dormamu's fate. 15 days of travel finally ends with some time for exploring.

Dabai and Elbram go off on a shopping trip that Elbram is ill equipped to deal with. After some arguments and missteps the two manage to get a hold of some stun weapons... a rather rare commodity in Hutt space.

Meanwhile Quindo and Igashu go digging for info on Naronne and the Black Lotus fleet. It seems that Naronne is now Captain of the Black Lotus fleet. Quite a surprise, but a convenient one. Nalgus, our contact at the Registry manages to get out a message to Naronne. Let's hope she responds.
