The Wild Die
Sometimes wierd things happen. To represent the strange twists of fate that are often seen, one die out of each roll (even if only one die is rolled) must be designated as the Wild Die. This die should be a different color from the other dice rolled or in other ways distinguishable.
If a Wild Die rolls a 2, 3, 4, or 5, it counts normally. If it comes up as a 6, it counts normally, but may be rolled again. On any result other than a six on this reroll, add that to the total. On a 6, add that to the total and roll again. As long as 6's keep getting rolled, keep adding to the total. If the wild die comes up a 1 on the first roll, the wild die AND the highest other die are not counted in the total.
Example: Rolling 5D, a 1,2,5,6 and a 6 on the wild die are rolled. The wild die is rerolled for another six! The wild die is rerolled again for a one. The total is 27 (1+2+5+6+6+6+1).
Example: Rolling 5D, a 1,2,5,6 and a 1 on the wild die is rolled. The total is 8 (1+2+5 - the 1 on the wild die and the 6 don't count).
