Strategic Combat

(These rules will be written/ modified from the Capital ship combat rules when I get a chance. -- Dirk)

Strategic Combat involves battle between large groups of opposing forces.

When two fleets of spaceships meet in battle around a forrest moon, that is an example of strategic combat.

Smaller combats within the larger conflict can be played out with the earlier rules presented, but when there are hundreds of men and machines fighting on each side a simpler resolution system is required.

Each side designates their commander, who is usually but not always the highest ranking officer on each side. The commander is whomever (or whatever) is making the strategic decisions for his side.

Each commander rolls their appropriate strategic combat skill, modified by the quality of their strategic intelligence, their equipment quality, their numbers, terrain advantage, etc.

Casualties are inflicted based upon the level of success of the roll.
