You are of a race, class, or sex in a culture that considers you inferior. The stigma must be obvious to those that see you, otherwise it's merely a bad reputation. The bonus depends on the severity:

• Second-class citizen: A non-human in the Empire. A penalty to all reaction checks against humans.
• Valuable Property: A slave alien in the Empire. A more severe penalty to all human reaction checks and a smaller one against some "free" non-humans.
• Outsider or barbarian: A Wookiee or Mon Calamari in a game focusing on the higher echelons of Imperial power. Significant penalties for reaction checks against humans, but bonuses if you return to your home culture.
