Bitter Ending
Dabai was sent on a classified mission to quell a rebel insurrection on an outskirt colony. It was supposed to be a simple mission, in and out and back home for dinner. The mission didnt go as planned. The drop went as normal but the reports that Dabai had been given on the village the rebels were in were all wrong.
Dabai waited till nightfall and sent two men to scout the village. The rest of the group held back in hiding with Dabai. It was hours before they heard anything. After a few hours of waiting Dabai suspected something had gone wrong and put his men on full alert. Shortly after giving the call he heard screams and ordered his men to advance on the town. Just after giving the order one of the two scouts ran back. "Dabai they captured X, I was going to try and save him but as I got within range they killed him...". At that moment everything went vague for Dabai. The rebels exploded out of the camp and took down Dabai's troops one by one. Eventually all that was left was Dabai who was wounded and lying on the ground. Dabai was left there alone, knowing that his mission had failed and he had failed his men.
The Kingdom sent in a detachment to clean the area. They were surprised to see that the operation had failed as badly as it had. Not to mention that Dabai the commanding officer of the mission was the only one left alive. Dabai was retrieved from the planet and immediately put into detainment. He was suspected for high treason. They believed that he had leaked information to the rebels and falsified documents to purposefully botch the mission. While they could find no apparent motive, the evidence before them was impelling enough to make the charges hold. It was decided that he was to be put to death for his actions against his country.
A day before he was to be put to death there was information received by the Kingdom intelligence agency that indicated one of Dabai's men was still alive. Not only that but there was indications that he was associated with known members of the Rebellion. With this new evidence the Kingdom's Naval forces re-examined Dabai's case. They could not prove either way if Dabai was involved with the massacre or not. Eventually they decided it was less likely that Dabai was involved but due to the uncertainty could not clear him of all charges. Dabai was Dis-honorably discharged from the Navy as well as being marked as a potential traitor.
