accomplished rider and keeper of the household stables. Know her by

and the exemplification of chivalry.

Long have the equestrians of the East viewed their southern cousins, at
tournament, with admiration and longing. Now, it is with great joy that
we watch the gauntlet fall and count ourselves worthy to accept the
challenge of the illustrious Baron Sir Manfred von Rothenburg and the
Lance of St. Anne to attend the Emprise of the Sword Ascendant on the
14th day of March AS XXXII in the Kingdom of Meridies.
Look you all to the Eastern horizon, for a bright star approaches. It
is the Equus Orientalis, Royal Lance of the East; created for the
pleasure and glory of their most splendid Majesties Lucan von
Drachenklaue and Caitlin o hAodha, Rex and Regina, Orientalis. And for
Their pleasure and glory we shall be known by the badge of Their
champions Or, a tiger passant guardant, azure. Also shall we be known
individually by our own devices listed here.
As captain of the Lance, so shall I also be known by my personal arms:

Gules. And by my lineage and accomplishments: Companion of the Order of
the Pelican, Companion of the Silver Crescent, Baroness to the Royal
Court of Randal and Katherine, East Kingdom Regional Equestrian Marshal,

and honor I shall uphold at tournament.
At my side shall ride the couragious and steady Lady Anna Dimitriova
Belokon, the East Kingdom Mistress of Horse, member of the Order of the
Millstone, Barony Stonemarche, and Laurel apprentice to Baron Meister
Harold von Auerbach. She shall be recognized by her personal arms: A
gyrony of eight, Azure and Or, a mullet of eight counter-changed, Or and
Azure.
Also riding in the Lance is the valliant Lord Julian le Scot, Seneschal
of the Canton of the Towers, equestrian marshal and man-at-arms to
Master Seosamh Mac Donald an Cruca O'Maille. He shall be known by his
personal arms: Azure, a crusilly Or, two horses courant, Argent.
The fourth member of our Royal Lance is the brave, gentle and very
skilled Elaine de Caer Llynedd, equestrain marshal in training. She
shall be recognized by her colors Azure, Vert and Or.
Leading us bravely forward as our Herald is the Honorable Lady Susanna
del Lago, Central Region Senechal, Companion of the Order of the Silver
Crescent, and proud holder of a Carolingian Day Star.

I, your cousin, Lord Julian le Scot, Captain of Equus Orientalis by right
of being the Mounted Champion of the Eastern Kingdom commend myself and
my lance to you as nobles well suited to the field of combat.
One year ago the Royal Lance, Equus Orientalis, met the Lance of St. Anne
and the Equestrians of the Knowne World on the field at King’s Arrow for
the Emprise of The Sword Ascendant. That day was filled with feats of
valor and marked by excellence in the Equestrian Arts. Once again the
gauntlet falls and the Lance of St. Anne announces the Emprise of the
Cross and Crescent on the 13th day of March AS XXXIII in the Kingdom of
Meridies. By way of this letter I announce the intent of Equus
Orientalis to once again take the field and meet the Lance of St. Anne
and the Equestrians of the Known World at the upcoming tourney in the
spirit of chivalric competition and the entertainment of the assembled
guests.
Equus Orientalis was endowed as a Royal Lance by the Eastern Crowns of
