move move move fun fun fun

at WPI, I was a founding member of GweepCo a great group of folks who revel in computer geekiness . I was the token male officer in the founding of the WPI Vegetarian Society. And I was active in the Science Fiction Society.

In High School, I was the Captain of the Math Team, and active in my school's Latin Club, Computer Club, Science Olympiad, Math Team. Standard Geek Fare

also during my High School years, I volunteered at the Theatre at Monmouth, running the concession stand, and directing traffic in the parking lots. But most importantly, keeping the actors supplied with coffee. Very fun. I highly recommend attending a play there at Cumston Hall if at all possible.

computers

Computers are a huge chunk o' my life.. I dunno why, I just think they're neat.

graphics, linux, perl, c=64

I wrote Xtacy... a graphics hack under X. I started it in '91, during the Unemployment years. It was my 2nd or 3rd project in C.

I run Linux 2.2.12 on my 4 PCs.

gulik
AMD K6-2 450 , 224MB RAM
hungmung
AMD K6 266 , 112MB RAM
sri-syadasti
AMD K6-2 333 , 128MB RAM
zarathud
Pentium-166

I program mostly in C, C++, and Perl. Perl just rocks my world. I've put up some of my programs to share with the class. I'm a firm believer in sharing code. Reinventing the wheel is pretty dumb, unless you're doing it to see how round you can get it

My first computer that I did anything fun with was a Commodore 64.. I've still got the old thing, though it's seen better days

discordia	-><-

I typed in the Principia Discordia and posted it to the 'Net back in '91 (or was it '92?) yes, I'm Dru'el the Chaotic. I'm quoted in the SJG edition of the PD . "Be Nice to Other People; They outnumber you 5.5 Billion to one" I think the number's up to 5.8 Billion. Damn! People should stop breeding, or at least slow down. I guess they would if it were less fun. But enough of that rant.

I own a pair of MiniLop bunnies, named Kiki and BooBoo. My friend Collin and I also have another bunny named J.R. . My IRC handle is UsagiJer , "usagi" being Japanese for "Rabbit".

I'm a comic book reader. My favorites are The Tick, Badger, Nexus, Usagi Yojimbo, Dr. Strange, and Concrete. I also like Cud, Dark Horse Presents, The Hulk, Flaming Carrot, and Too Much Coffee Man. I think my favorite single book of all time is 3-D Destroy! .

other stuff

I'm an XXFP Keirsey Personality type, at least the last time I took the test. I don't think that's very accurate, though I'm not sure what else I'd be. possibly more introverted, and more thinking

I'm a Scorpio, whatever that means

Here's my Resume if you're interested..

Phew...This guy's a looney! Let me outta here!!!
