Rounding the corner from Center St. to Sargent St. in Newton, you cannot help but feel apprehension. Just beyond that high brick wall and behind those trees is the most influential house in Boston and most who walk by the estate don't even know it. This is House Montesque, the seat of Kindred power in Boston. Difficult to see through the trees, it rests on a lot that is surprisingly well concealed from the casual curiosities of mortal men.

Little do they know that while they argue tonight over the Superbowl and brave the bitter winter winds, the Kindred will be gathered here at Montesque's command. But why? No one seems to know. Why is the Archon here? The Nosferatu aren't talking. The only way to find out is to pass through those wrought iron gates and up the driveway to the house.

The house itself is a modest colonial style mansion, surrounded by ten acres of land. Its subtlety doesn't undermine its stature though, but maybe that only because you know who waits for you inside. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to come after all…
